It truly is a blessing to have a job that marks some of the most beautiful moments in ones life. And it is even more of a blessing when you get to enter those moments with those you already love dearly. Baby Kate came into this world one beautiful Tuesday morning into the anxious hands of her loving parents. The text came my way later that evening announcing her arrival and I couldn’t have been more anxious to get to hold this precious one. Just a few days later, James and I along with some of our closest friends headed their way to love on this sweet little one. When I first held her I remember being shocked at how “un-newborn” she looked. Ha ha. I know that’s not a word, but it works! She was only 4 days old at the time and yet I felt like I was holding a baby not a newborn! She was already trying to hold her head up and her features were so adorable. She has the cutest button nose and the perfect little rounded ears. She was perfect, and I felt an enormous amount of gratitude filling my soul for the precious friends that we have formed here in WA and the opportunity to be a part of such a special part in their lives.
It was truly an honor to be asked to capture these memories for them before the Army took them on another adventure. Baby Kate has some of the most loving and capable parents and I can’t wait to see how she grows up to become a beautiful woman like her Momma. Kevin and Julia, safe travels and best of luck on your new adventures in Kansas. We pray we’ll be able to see you all again one day soon!
