What a pleasure it was to be a part of such a stunning wedding this last Saturday.  Every detail of Will & Eleni’s big day was thoroughly planned through and the sweet sentimental items and attention to detail were definitely not left unnoticed.   Will and Eleni got married on a chilly but perfectly overcast day here in the Pacific Northwest.  Their venue, the Kiana Lodge, located in Poulsbo, WA on the Kitsap Peninsula could not have been a more perfect fit for their romantic winter wedding. Being surrounded by greenery and water gave the Lodge a feeling of quietness and solitude as well as a warm comfort put off by its dim lamps and wooden beams.  Eleni’s one of a kind stunning engagement ring made it’s debut, and her sparkling sapphire jewelry pieces were put into place. The gorgeous hues of deep red and blue interspersed throughout Will & Eleni’s day paired with the golden sequins of the bridesmaids dresses and gorgeous fur shawls made for just the right amount of elegance and class.  A delicate crown of winter florals was placed gently on Eleni’s head as the final touch to her stunning ensemble before heading out to meet her soon-to-be husband. Will & Eleni’s first look was as sweet as they come, and the smiles that the normally shy Will possessed were infectious. Soon their closest friends and family joined in the fun as their wedding was just about to begin…. View full post »

Ashlea and Wagner’s day of celebration continued as those closest to them started piling into the pews at the church Ashlea had grown up in since birth.  Bridesmaids, groomsmen, and the cutest flower girl and ring bearers you ever did see (!) shuffled into place as Elijah continued to softly stroke the piano’s keys.  Soon everything was in place and the first Bridesmaid and Groomsman pair began to walk forward.  Ten pairs of feet down the aisle later, and everyone began to beam as the littlest feet began stealing the show.  Ashlea’s nephew and niece were first down the aisle together- Jakey being the sweet and protective brother guiding his curious baby sister, Addy, down the aisle to Nana.  Ashlea’s other nephew, Carter, then strolled down the aisle with Wagner’s sweet nephew not far behind running to his Daddy holding his precious pumpkin 🙂 View full post »

It was an unusually warm morning for the month of November in Pennsylvania.  Sunbeams shone through the window awakening the day and just slightly revealing the beauty that was about to unfold.  I awoke in my Grandmothers home to the sweet noise of my sister’s infectious laughter as she began to get her hair done for the day.  Soon her friends and my other sisters joined in the morning preparations and the whole house was a buzz with curling irons and hairspray, makeup and muffins.  It was a warm and comforting time.  Four generations present all  getting ready in the home of the woman who started it all.  What precious memories.

Just 5 minutes away the Groom’s hand shook a little as he buttoned his vest and clasped his watch.  Today was finally the day she would become his.  In the midst of his closest friends, his smile beamed, but his nerves were ever present.  In less than half an hour he would be heading to meet his Bride.

The light grew brighter as the time grew later.   Soon curls were in place and necklaces were donned.  Ashlea stepped into her gown of lace and chiffon as those closest to her watched the beauty of the day all come together in one beaming Bride. The hands that so lovingly cared for her for the last 21 years zipped up the delicate fabric and set her pearls in place for the very last time before she would give her daughter over to the care of another… View full post »

Bless my Washington photographer’s soul! Lake Cushman threw out its best PNW weather for us to play in and everything just clicked for this beautiful anniversary session! Raven and Megan were the absolute perfect couple to photograph here with their “naturesque” yet classy outfits and sweet love for each other.  Megan is a dear friend and fellow (amazing!) photographer I met only a few short months ago, but we instantly hit it off and I feel very blessed to have met both her and her husband and have been able to capture their love for each other in such a PNW way. lifestyle nursery session greyson courtneybondphotography-17

Lifestyle sessions are quickly becoming a true love/hate relationship of mine. ha ha. I LOVE how intimate and raw and fun these sessions are, but hate the struggle of what my amazingly God-designed eyes see and the limitations of my camera in replicating that.  Indoor lighting can be tough!  But, it also makes me slow down a little more than when I am outside and try to figure out how to work with lighting that is both cool and warm, dark and light, at the same time.  Not always an easy feat!

All of that being said, the love more than outweighs the struggle and this session was no different! Greyson is such a miraculous blessing for Aly and Jake and I was more than honored to capture some of his sweet baby years before they quickly slip by.  Greyson’s room was ADORABLE, and I am loving how grey is making a huge debut in the nursery world.  It is such a fantastic color to use as the base because it pairs well with almost any other color. It also gives a very sweet and soothing feel to the nursery- clean and comfortable.  Aly is also quite the crafty lady and you can see her creative mind all over the nursery from the cute little signs to her choice of accent colors and decor. The perfect blend for baby and boy. 🙂 Another sweet item in Greyson’s room is his toy chest that used to be his Daddy’s (Jake) made by Jake’s grandfather and reworked a little bit by Jake to keep the legacy going. I just love those sentimental pieces in a nursery! View full post »
