The sun peaked out of the clouds early morning as we climbed the stairs to obtain all of Emily’s precious details for her day. Though extremely warm & humid, the sun brought smiles as the previous forecast predicted rain. Soon Emily arrived at her beautiful home in Beach Lake where she chose to get ready with all of her sweet friends and sisters. The day began with many smiles and lots of braids as the bridesmaids whisked in between chairs getting their makeup and hair done. Soon it was time for Emily’s stunning dress to be put on and all of her girls headed up to their gorgeous loft to watch and help assist. It was then that the tears and raw emotions began that would then not end until late that evening. Emily’s father soon walked by and the emotions were heavy. Mom and dad, friends and sisters, couldn’t help but tear up as the weight of the day began to sink in. Their precious baby girl, their first child, their friend was marrying her best friend today. The man who she would become one with. The man who she would move away with and begin a new chapter of their life together. Hands were joined and a prayer by her earthly father was sent up to her heavenly one.
The ceremony was just around the corner as we pulled into the dirt road leading up to our gorgeous venue at Fox Hill Farm. Shades of pink peonies could be seen throughout and the gorgeous white chairs welcomed guests to take a seat. The men were finishing up getting ready in the newly finished man cave in one of the gorgeous barns as the Bride and her maids were whisked into the Bridal carriage house to refresh and relax as they waited to make their debut. Soon the clock struck three and the wedding party made their way down to the edge of the pond where they would make the long walk down to their places to witness the union of two hearts becoming one.
Emily and her father soon joined behind the party and the tears and smiles began to be seen simultaneously. Emily’s father walked her down the side of the pond, and as they paused upon rounding the corner to the center aisle, Garrett’s emotions came on full force. Emily’s mother met them at the top of the aisle to switch off as Emily’s father took his place to perform his first wedding ceremony for his first child. The emotions from then on out were extremely precious and raw as Emily’s father began recounting how God had brought Emily and Garrett together. Hands were held and vows were said. The rings were exchanged and finally Emily and Garrett were pronounced as husband and wife…
